Type 054A
DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA
The Type 054A (Jiangkai II class) is China's primary general purpose frigate, forming the backbone of PLAN surface combatant force with over 30 ships commissioned. Armed with the HHQ-16 VLS (32 cells) for area air defense, YJ-83 anti-ship missiles, and a twin-barreled 76mm gun, the Type 054A provides capable anti-air, anti-surface, and limited anti-submarine warfare capability. It has been widely exported as the F-22P to Pakistan.
