China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) is the world's largest shipbuilding conglomerate by tonnage, responsible for the majority of China's naval shipbuilding. State-owned enterprise under direct central government control. CSSC's defense shipbuilding arm produces China's most advanced warships including the Type 055 Renhai destroyer (largest surface combatant in Asia), Type 052D Luyang III destroyer, Type 054A/054B frigates, Type 056A corvettes, Type 071 LPD, and Type 003 Fujian aircraft carrier. Subsidiaries include Hudong-Zhonghua (major surface ship builder), Jiangnan Shipyard (carriers, destroyers), Wuchang Shipyard (submarines), Bohai Shipyard (nuclear submarines), and Dalian Shipbuilding.
