Fincantieri
Fincantieri is Italy's state-owned shipbuilding conglomerate and one of the world's largest shipbuilders, producing both commercial cruise ships and advanced military vessels. Defense programs include FREMM multi-purpose frigates (joint with Naval Group of France), PPA patrol ships, LHD Trieste, and winning the US Navy's FFG(X) Constellation-class frigate contract — the most significant US naval procurement in decades. Fincantieri has subsidiaries in the USA (Marinette Marine, builder of Freedom/Independence LCS) and Norway (VARD). Revenue €7.4B (2022).
