Overview
The Esmeraldas-class corvettes form the modern surface combatant backbone of the Ecuadorian Navy. Built by FINCANTIERI in Italy, they are armed with OTO Melara 76mm guns, Aspide air defense missiles, and Otomat anti-ship missiles providing a multi-threat capability.
