Avante 2200 displaces 2,200-2,500 tonnes with length of 94 metres — optimized for extended-endurance patrol missions in exclusive economic zones. Features 76mm main gun, remote weapon stations with heavy machine guns, modern surveillance radar and electro-optical systems, helicopter deck for medium helicopter (NH90, AS565), rigid inflatable boat for boarding operations, accommodations for extended patrols (30+ days endurance), and diesel propulsion providing 20+ knot speeds and 6,000+ nautical mile range. Crew of 40-50 with accommodations for boarding teams or special forces. The Avante design emphasizes modularity enabling customer-specific weapons, sensors, and mission systems. Exported to Saudi Arabia (5 vessels as Al Jubail class for maritime border security), offered to Mexico, Venezuela, and other navies. Spain also operates similar designs for fisheries protection and counter-narcotics operations. The Avante represents affordable maritime security for nations requiring presence operations without the cost of major surface combatants.
