Overview
The Type 075 is China's first purpose-built amphibious assault ship (LHD), designed to transport, support, and land Marine Corps forces via helicopters, landing craft, and vehicles. At 36,000 tonnes, it carries approximately 30 rotary-wing aircraft plus landing craft and can simultaneously operate multiple helicopter lifts. Three Type 075 ships have been commissioned, providing China with fleet amphibious assault capability for the first time.
