Overview
The JL-3 (Julang-3) is China's latest submarine-launched ballistic missile, carried by Type 094A/B and future Type 096 SSBNs. Representing a significant improvement over the JL-2, it features a longer range of approximately 10,000+ km with MIRV capability, enabling Chinese submarines to threaten targets globally from patrol areas in Chinese-controlled or adjacent waters.
