Overview
The F-22P Zulfiquar class is a class of 4 guided-missile frigates built for Pakistan Navy at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in Shanghai. The lead ship PNS Zulfiquar commissioned 2009. The class displaces approximately 2,500 tonnes and is armed with 8x C-802 anti-ship missiles, FM-90N short-range SAM, 76mm main gun, torpedo tubes, and facilities for a naval helicopter. While representing a significant naval capability upon introduction, the class is now being supplemented and eventually replaced by the superior Tughril (Type 054A/P) class.
