Overview
The Absalon class is a highly innovative flexible support ship (combat supply/command ship) designed by Denmark and built by Odense Steel Shipyard. Two ships serve as the command ships and logistics vessels of the Royal Danish Navy. The design features a flexible mission deck, reconfigurable interior, and a STANFLEX modular weapons system allowing weapons to be changed depending on mission. Armed capability makes them unique among naval support vessels.
