DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA
Ametralladora ligera alimentada por cinta de 5.56x45 mm que proporciona fuego de supresión a nivel de equipo de fuego. Operada por gas con cañón de cambio rápido y tasa de fuego de 750-1,000 disparos por minuto. Arma automática estándar de escuadra desde 1984. Siendo reemplazada por el M250 para fuerzas de combate cercano, pero continuará sirviendo en roles de apoyo.
