Overview
Morocco operates the BGM-71E TOW-2A anti-tank guided missile system for anti-armor defense. The TOW-2A features a tandem-charge warhead capable of defeating modern explosive reactive armor-equipped vehicles. Morocco employs the TOW-2A from HMMWV-mounted launchers and tripod positions, providing infantry and mechanized units with a capable long-range anti-tank weapon. The system uses semi-automatic command to line-of-sight (SACLOS) guidance via a thin copper wire, requiring the operator to track the target through the thermal sight.
