DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA
Ametralladora general de propósito alimentada por cinta de 7.62x51mm NATO que sirve como la ametralladora media estándar en todas las ramas del ejército de EE. UU. Operada a gas con cañón de cambio rápido. La variante M240L utiliza un receptor de titanio que reduce el peso en 2.5 kg. Montada en vehículos, helicópteros y trípodes. El alcance efectivo supera los 1,800 metros.
