The SSN-AUKUS is a nuclear-powered attack submarine being developed under the AUKUS trilateral security pact between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Based on the UK Astute-class design with US combat systems and weapons, it will provide Australia with its first nuclear submarine capability, dramatically enhancing its undersea warfare reach in the Indo-Pacific.
