Overview
Modernized 7.62x54mmR belt-fed general purpose machine gun replacing the PKM. Features forced-air barrel cooling system that eliminates the need for barrel changes during sustained fire, carrying handle, and Picatinny rail for optics. Cyclic rate of 650-800 rpm with effective range of 1,500 meters. Bullpup variant Pecheneg-SP developed for vehicle and fortification use.
