Overview
Indigenous 8x8 wheeled armoured personnel carrier developed to modernise the Republic of Korea Army's wheeled combat vehicle fleet. Features a modular design supporting multiple mission variants including personnel carrier (11 troops plus 2 crew), command post, ambulance, mortar carrier, and reconnaissance. Base protection to STANAG 4569 Level 3 with modular add-on armour for Level 4. Powered by a Doosan DL06K 420 hp diesel engine with independent suspension and central tire inflation for off-road mobility. Road speed of 100 km/h with amphibious capability using waterjets. Armed with a remote weapon station mounting 12.7mm or 40mm weapons. Weight of approximately 20 tonnes in base configuration. Over 500 ordered for the ROK Army with deliveries ongoing, representing Korea's first modern 8x8 wheeled combat vehicle.
