The Sandcat is a Turkish light tactical wheeled armored vehicle developed by Otokar, designed for special operations and quick reaction force roles. Based on a Ford F-550 commercial chassis with military upgrades including STANAG Level 1 ballistic protection and mine protection, it weighs approximately 4,600 kg and carries up to seven personnel. The Sandcat is fully air-mobile by helicopter. Azerbaijan operates the Sandcat for special forces missions and reconnaissance tasks requiring a light footprint in mountainous terrain.
