ОБЗОР СИСТЕМЫ
The Ulsan class is a South Korean frigate design originally built for the Republic of Korea Navy in the 1980s-1990s, optimized for fast attack and ASW operations in the shallow waters of the Yellow Sea. Bangladesh acquired decommissioned Ulsan-class frigates as an affordable way to add Harpoon anti-ship missile capability and combat-experienced platforms to its growing navy. With a high maximum speed of 34 knots and armed with four Harpoon SSMs, two 76mm guns, and torpedo tubes, the Ulsan class provides Bangladesh Navy with credible surface warfare and patrol capability for Bay of Bengal operations.
