The Dolphin class is a series of diesel-electric submarines built in Germany for the Israeli Navy, widely reported to be capable of launching nuclear-armed cruise missiles. They feature Air-Independent Propulsion using fuel cells for extended submerged endurance. The newer Dolphin II variants have a larger displacement and enhanced capabilities.
