About ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems
ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) is Germany's leading naval shipbuilding company, producing submarines and surface combatants for the German Navy and export markets. A subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp AG. Best known for the Type 212A submarine — considered the world's most advanced non-nuclear submarine, featuring advanced AIP (Air-Independent Propulsion) that allows weeks of silent submerged operation without snorkeling. Also produces the Blohm+Voss-derived MEKO frigate family, which has been sold to 17 navies worldwide. The Dolphin-class submarines for Israel are another flagship program. TKMS is deeply integrated with Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) for patrol vessels and the Lurssen Group for fast attack craft.
