Air-Sol Moyenne Portée Amélioré - Rénové — France's airborne nuclear deterrent weapon, a supersonic nuclear-armed air-launched cruise missile carried by Rafale fighters. Features a ramjet engine enabling speeds exceeding Mach 3 at high altitude with a range of approximately 500 km. Carries the TNA (Tête Nucléaire Aéroportée) warhead with variable yield capability. The -R renovation introduces improved propulsion, guidance, and electronic countermeasures to ensure penetration of modern air defense systems. Operated by both the French Air Force (Forces Aériennes Stratégiques) and French Navy (Force Aéronavale Nucléaire) Rafale squadrons. Forms the airborne component of France's nuclear triad.
