DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA
The Al Riyadh-class is a Saudi Royal Navy frigate derived from the French La Fayette-class stealth frigate. Three vessels (Al Riyadh, Makkah, Al Dammam) entered service 2002–2004. Displacing ~3,700 tonnes with a reduced-RCS hull, each is armed with Aster 15 SAMs, Exocet MM40 Block 2 anti-ship missiles, a 100mm main gun, torpedo system, and one embarked helicopter. The most capable surface combatants in the Saudi fleet.
