Patroller

Overview

Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (MALE) tactical unmanned aerial system designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions. Based on the Stemme S15 motorglider platform with a wingspan of 18 m and endurance exceeding 20 hours at altitudes up to 20,000 ft. Carries a multi-sensor payload including EO/IR turret, synthetic aperture radar, SIGINT, and COMINT systems on three hardpoints. Can be armed with lightweight precision munitions. The French Army received its first systems in 2023, filling a critical capability gap between tactical drones and the larger MQ-9 Reaper.
