Overview

French multi-role fighter representing Peruvian Air Force most capable combat aircraft and main strike force. Peru operates approximately 10 Mirage 2000P (single-seat) and 2000DP (two-seat) acquired from France 1980s with ongoing modernization programmes extending service life. Features delta-wing design enabling high speed and agility, modern radar, Magic and potentially MICA air-to-air missiles, precision weapons, all-weather capability. Backbone of Peruvian air defense and strike operations. Deployed during 1995 Cenepa War with Ecuador demonstrating combat effectiveness.
