Overview
World-class airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) platform combining maritime patrol, ground surveillance, and air battle management in a single aircraft — representing the cutting edge of multirole surveillance aircraft. GlobalEye is based on the Bombardier Global 6000 business jet modified with Saab's Erieye Extended Range (ER) AESA radar mounted in a dorsal fairing, providing 360-degree coverage with detection range exceeding 550 km for fighter-sized air targets and surface vessels. The system also integrates Leonardo Seaspray maritime search radar, electro-optical/infrared sensors, electronic intelligence (ELINT), and communications intelligence (COMINT) systems. Endurance of 11+ hours with air-to-air refueling capability for extended missions. The mission system fuses data from all sensors and datalinks, providing a comprehensive air, sea, and ground tactical picture to command centers and networked friendly forces. Cruising altitude of 41,000+ feet with pressurized cabin for crew comfort during long missions. Crew of 6-8 mission specialists. First deliveries to UAE (3 aircraft) with Swedish Air Force ordering 2 GlobalEye for delivery 2025-2027 to replace aging S 100B Argus AEW platforms. Provides world-class situational awareness capability.
