Overview
The CN-235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft is co-produced by CASA of Spain and IPTN (now PT Dirgantara Indonesia), making it one of the rare cases of genuine technology transfer and domestic production. Indonesia uses the CN-235 MPA variant with maritime surveillance radar and search/rescue equipment to monitor its vast archipelagic waters across 5 million square kilometers of maritime territory. The domestic production capability is a key strategic asset.
