Overview
Spanish twin-turboprop tactical transport aircraft providing Egyptian Air Force with modern airlift capability for cargo, personnel, paratroop operations, medical evacuation, and maritime patrol missions. Egypt operates multiple C-295M with deliveries from 2010s onwards (exact numbers approximately 10-15 aircraft). Features modern glass cockpit with digital avionics, cargo hold with rear ramp enabling vehicle loading and airdrop operations, maximum payload of 9 tonnes or 71 troops, short takeoff and landing capability enabling operations from austere airfields, endurance exceeding 8 hours for maritime patrol missions, and potential fitment of maritime surveillance sensors.
