Overview
Current standard-issue 5.45x39mm assault rifle of the Russian Armed Forces under the Ratnik program. Gas-operated long-stroke piston action with free-floating barrel, full-length Picatinny rail, M-LOK handguard, adjustable folding stock, and 700 rpm cyclic rate. Model 2023 features improved ergonomics and lighter weight. Kalashnikov Concern delivered the full 2025 production order on schedule. Replacing AK-74M across all branches.
