Mica NG

New Generation of the MICA (Missile d'Interception, de Combat et d'Autodéfense) — a dual-role short/medium-range air-to-air missile available in IR (imaging infrared) and EM (electromagnetic/active radar) seeker variants. The NG version features a completely new seeker with vastly improved detection range and resistance to countermeasures, a new dual-pulse rocket motor increasing range by 30%, reduced weight, enhanced ECCM, and a programmable fragmentation warhead. Uniquely, both seeker variants share identical dimensions and mass, enabling mixed loadouts without reconfiguration. Lock-on-after-launch capability with datalink. Range of approximately 80 km. Primary Rafale armament for air superiority and self-defense.
