F-16 Fighting Falcon
Poland operates 48 F-16C/D Block 52+ aircraft (36 C single-seat, 12 D two-seat) delivered 2006–2008 under the ORLIK program. The Block 52+ is equipped with the AN/APG-68(V)9 mechanically scanned radar, Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS), Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod, conformal fuel tanks (CFTs), and Have Glass II radar-absorbent treatment. Full armament suite includes AIM-120C AMRAAM for BVR, AIM-9X Sidewinder for WVR, JDAM, JSOW, AGM-65 Maverick, and AGM-84 Harpoon. The F-16 remains Poland's frontline air superiority and strike aircraft pending F-35A delivery. Based at 31st Tactical Air Base (Poznań-Krzesiny) and 32nd Tactical Air Base (Łódź-Lask).

- Poland's primary air superiority platform since 2006
- Block 52+ with conformal fuel tanks and advanced avionics suite
- Full NATO weapons integration including AMRAAM BVR capability
- Sniper ATP targeting pod enables precision strike day/night
- Have Glass II RCS-reduction treatment improves survivability
- 48 aircraft insufficient for Poland's expanding threat environment
- Single engine limits survivability over hostile territory
- APG-68 mechanically scanned radar inferior to AESA-equipped competitors
- Aging fleet approaching mid-life — MLU program required
- Being supplemented rather than replaced by F-35A and FA-50
