DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA

The Taurus KEPD 350 (Kinetic Energy Penetration Destroyer) is a stealthy long-range air-launched stand-off cruise missile designed specifically for hardened and deeply buried target destruction, developed as a joint German-Swedish venture. Range exceeding 500 km with a turbojet engine and terrain-following flight profile using TERCOM/DSMAC navigation plus GPS/INS. The unique MEPHISTO tandem warhead penetrates several metres of reinforced concrete. Integrated on Eurofighter Typhoon, JAS 39 Gripen, and F-15K. Germany debated extensively over transferring Taurus to Ukraine, ultimately declining in 2024.
