PULS MLRS

Israeli modular multiple launch rocket system selected by Netherlands to provide long-range precision strike capability — representing major Dutch artillery modernization and first European adoption of Israeli MLRS. Netherlands ordered PULS systems in 2023 with deliveries beginning 2026. PULS features modular launcher accommodating multiple rocket types: ACCULAR 122mm guided rockets (35 km range, GPS/INS guidance), ACCULAR 160mm guided rockets (40 km range), EXTRA 306mm guided rockets (150 km range, GPS/INS with CEP under 10 metres), and potentially other munitions. Each launcher can carry mixed loads (e.g., 18x 122mm rockets plus 4x 306mm rockets) enabling tailored loadouts for specific missions. Mounted on 8x8 truck chassis providing high mobility. The rockets use GPS/INS guidance transforming unguided area saturation weapons into precision strike systems engaging point targets with minimal collateral damage. Autonomous fire control system enables rapid engagement of multiple targets with shoot-and-scoot operations. PULS provides Dutch artillery with capability comparable to US HIMARS but with European/Israeli supply chain. The extended-range EXTRA rockets enable strikes deep into enemy territory engaging command posts, ammunition depots, and air defense systems without exposing launch vehicles. Represents Netherlands recognizing importance of long-range precision fires demonstrated in Ukraine conflict.
