M-1985 / BM-21 Grad MLRS
DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA
North Korea operates thousands of multiple launch rocket systems including Soviet BM-21 Grad systems and numerous indigenous variants such as the M-1985, which uses 240mm rockets on a modified chassis. The sheer volume of MLRS systems deployed along the Demilitarized Zone represents one of the most serious conventional military threats to Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area. While individually inaccurate, massed MLRS fire could saturate South Korean defenses and cause catastrophic civilian casualties.
