Cameroon operates a mixed fleet of light attack and armed helicopters including modernized French and Russian-origin types. Used primarily for counterinsurgency operations against Boko Haram in the Far North Region of Cameroon. The fleet provides aerial fire support to ground forces though capability is limited by age and maintenance challenges.
