DESCRIPCIÓN DEL SISTEMA

The Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) is the world's leading aerial refuelling tanker aircraft. Derived from the Airbus A330-200 wide-body airliner, it combines a state-of-the-art aerial refuelling system with large strategic transport capability. The aircraft features the Advanced Refuelling Boom System (ARBS) along with optional Hose and Drogue Units (HDU) under each wing. It can carry up to 111,000 kg of fuel, making it the largest tanker aircraft in NATO service. Beyond refuelling, the A330 MRTT accommodates up to 270 troops, 45 medical stretchers, or palletised cargo. Operated by NATO, Five Eyes alliance partners, and regional powers, it has flown over 130,000 flight hours with more than 200,000 refuelling contacts. Australia operates it as the KC-30A, the UK as the Voyager, and France as the Phénix.
