AeroVironment (AV) is a US defense company specializing in small unmanned aircraft systems and tactical loitering munitions. Best known for the Switchblade family — Switchblade 300 (man-portable, anti-personnel) and Switchblade 600 (anti-armor, 40+ km range with Hellfire-class warhead) — which gained global prominence in Ukraine after the US provided hundreds to Ukrainian forces. Also produces the RQ-11B Raven (most widely deployed military UAS), RQ-20A Puma ALL, and JUMP 20 VTOL UAS. Revenue: $540M (FY2023).
