Denmark ordered 309 Piranha V 8x8 armored fighting vehicles in a major procurement to replace aging M113 APCs. The Piranha V is built by General Dynamics Land Systems Canada and will serve in multiple variants including infantry carrier, reconnaissance, command vehicle, and fire support roles. It offers substantially better protection than the M113 while maintaining high mobility.
