نظرة عامة على النظام
Pakistan operates three Agosta 90B (Khalid-class) submarines built under licence at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW) in cooperation with Naval Group (then DCNS) of France. The three vessels are PNS Khalid, PNS Saad, and PNS Hamza. PNS Hamza was retrofitted with the MESMA (Module d'Energie Sous-Marin Autonome) air-independent propulsion system, providing it with 3+ weeks submerged endurance without snorting. The class carries heavyweight torpedoes and is compatible with the SM-39 Exocet anti-ship missile. With Hangor-class deliveries beginning 2025, the Agosta 90Bs are expected to retire.
