Features fully automated gun loading and laying, autonomous fire control with GPS/INS navigation and ballistic computer, rapid deployment (under 1 minute), shoot-and-scoot capability, maximum range of 40+ km with standard ammunition or 50+ km with base-bleed/rocket-assisted projectiles, rate of fire of 4 rounds/minute sustained, 25-30 ready rounds, and mounting on 6x6 or 8x8 truck chassis. Crew of 4-5. The wheeled platform provides strategic mobility enabling self-deployment without tank transporters — critical for Argentine vast territory. ATMOS provides Argentine artillery with modern capability comparable to tracked self-propelled howitzers at lower cost.
