The Agni-V is India's first intercontinental ballistic missile with a range exceeding 5,500 km, capable of reaching targets across Asia and into parts of Europe and Africa. Using a three-stage solid-fueled design, it can carry a 1,500 kg nuclear warhead. The missile is road-mobile and can be launched from a canister mounted on a transport erector launcher, giving it high survivability against preemptive strikes.
