Overview
Morocco operates the VAB (Véhicule de l'Avant Blindé) Mk 3 wheeled armored vehicle, procured through French defense cooperation. The VAB is a 6x6 armored vehicle designed for infantry transport, fire support, and command roles. Morocco acquired the Mk 3 modernized variant featuring improved armor protection, updated diesel engine, and modular mission systems. The VAB is used by Moroccan rapid reaction forces and for UN/AU peacekeeping deployments. France shares the platform, providing familiar maintenance and logistics infrastructure. Morocco has deployed VABs in UN operations in Africa.
