Overview
Software-Defined Radio (SDR) tactical communication system forming the digital nervous system of the French Army's SCORPION network-centric warfare programme. Provides secure, jam-resistant voice and high-bandwidth data communications across all echelons from individual soldier to brigade headquarters. Features COMSEC encryption, frequency hopping, wideband networking waveforms, and interoperability with NATO standards. The system enables the real-time sharing of tactical data between SCORPION vehicles (Griffon, Jaguar, Serval, Leclerc XLR) through the SICS (Système d'Information du Combat SCORPION) combat information system. Multiple radio variants cover vehicular, manpack, and handheld configurations. Over 20,000 radios ordered for the French military.
