Overview
The Otokar Cobra II is a Turkish 4x4 armored light tactical vehicle designed for COIN, patrol, and special forces operations. It features STANAG 4569 Level 3 ballistic protection against 7.62mm AP rounds and Level 2a/2b mine protection under the hull and wheels. The Cobra II carries six personnel plus crew, mounts various weapon stations including 12.7mm and 14.5mm HMG options, and is air-transportable in a CH-47 Chinook. Bangladesh acquired Cobra II vehicles to modernize its light armored vehicle fleet with contemporary mine-protected platforms for internal security and border patrol missions.
