Overview
The Buk-M2E is the export variant of Russia's Buk-M2 medium-range surface-to-air missile system. Algeria acquired Buk-M2E to fill the engagement gap between its S-300/S-400 long-range systems and short-range Pantsir-S1. The system can engage aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and precision-guided weapons at ranges up to 50 km and altitudes to 25 km.
