Class of 6 diesel-electric patrol submarines operated by the Royal Norwegian Navy. Based on the German Type 210 design. Armed with DM2A3 heavyweight torpedoes. Ideally suited for operations in Norway's complex fjord environment. Approaching end of service life and scheduled for replacement by the Type 212CD from the 2030s.
