Overview
The ST Engineering Hunter AFV is claimed as the world's first fully digitized armored combat vehicle — Singapore's most ambitious defense industrial achievement. Hunter is equipped with a 30mm Bushmaster II autocannon with airburst rounds, coaxial 7.62mm machine gun, and Spike ATGM launchers. The defining feature is Hunter's digital backbone: an open architecture software-defined electronics suite enabling capability upgrades without physical modifications. An active protection system provides hard-kill defense against rocket-propelled grenades and anti-tank missiles. Hybrid-electric drive option reduces thermal and acoustic signatures. Hunter replaces the aging Bionix IFV fleet with production ongoing through the mid-2020s.
