Véhicule Blindé Multi-Rôles Léger — the light 4x4 armoured vehicle of the SCORPION family, designed to replace the VBL in light and medium infantry units. Weighing 17 tonnes with a crew of 2 plus 8 troops or 4 equipped special forces. Shares SCORPION-standard vetronics including SICS combat system, CONTACT radio, and Blue Force Tracking with the Griffon and Jaguar. Protected against small arms, artillery fragments, and mines. Equipped with a remote weapon station mounting 7.62mm or 12.7mm weapons. Air-transportable by A400M. 2,038 vehicles ordered for the French Army with deliveries ongoing from 2022.
