Overview
Advanced amphibious transport dock (LPD) designed to deploy Marines and their equipment via landing craft and helicopters. Flight II (LPD-30+) replaces the LSD-41/49 class with enhanced command and control, medical facilities, and aviation capability. Displaces 25,000+ tons and carries 800 Marines.
