Overview
Remote Controlled Howitzer 155 — a revolutionary fully automated 155mm/52-calibre artillery system mounted on the Boxer 8x8 wheeled armoured vehicle chassis. The unmanned Artillery Gun Module (AGM) turret can fire 9 rounds per minute with a range of 40+ km (54 km with extended-range ammunition) and requires zero crew in the turret during firing operations. A 2-person crew in the protected Boxer cab can conduct the complete fire mission including autonomous navigation, ammunition handling, firing, and displacement. Shoot-and-scoot capability in under 30 seconds. Carries 30 rounds of ammunition. The system represents a paradigm shift in artillery — combining strategic mobility (road speed 100 km/h, air-transportable) with heavy firepower. Germany ordered 10 with plans for 54+. UK and Australia have also ordered.
