Overview
The Mi-28NM (Night Hunter Modernised) is Russia's most advanced attack helicopter variant, featuring the N025 millimetre-wave radar mounted above the main rotor hub enabling over-terrain fire control without exposing the aircraft. Primary armament includes 16× 9M120M Ataka-VM or Vikhr-M anti-tank guided missiles, B-13L 130mm rockets, and the 30mm 2A42 cannon. The Vitebsk L370 defensive aids suite provides missile warning and countermeasures. Has seen active employment in Ukraine with losses recorded to MANPADS. The Mi-28NM entered service 2020 with ongoing deliveries.
