Overview
Next-generation tracked infantry fighting vehicle designed by Rheinmetall as a clean-sheet modern IFV for the export market and potential Bundeswehr future fleet. Features the Lance 2.0 unmanned turret with Rheinmetall MK30-2/ABM 30mm cannon, Spike LR2 anti-tank missiles, and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. Advanced digital architecture with AI-assisted threat detection, 360-degree situational awareness cameras, and open-architecture mission computer. Carries 8 dismounts plus 3 crew at a combat weight of 44 tonnes in heavy configuration. Modular design allows scalable protection from 30 to 50 tonnes. Hungary ordered 218 Lynx KF41 with local production, becoming the first customer. Selected by Australia for the LAND 400 Phase 3 programme (129 vehicles). Competing in multiple international tenders.
